So while I am a proponent of mostly sedate dressing (I do still like and wear the occasional Rodney Dangerfield in Caddy Shack sportcoat), the spring/summer is a nice time of the year to add a pop of color and texture that you normally don’t do in the winter. Linen/raw silk/knit ties look great and are at home with linen/cotton/fresco jackets. Add a nice cotton/linen blend or chambray shirt and you’re as sound as a pound. One caveat for me, I wear no more than one GTH piece in an outfit, a bright knit or raw silk tie should be accompanied by sedate pieces. Leave the camouflage sportcoat and 12 foot long spring scarf at home, or better yet, just burn those items, they’re awful.
